Realizing, that Economists have successfully predicted 10 of the last 2 recessions, the mistake so many people make is they rely on someone else’s analysis of the data instead of looking to the source materials and coming up with their own. All joking aside we are getting ready to start back down into the second half of a double-dip recession and nothing the government can do or say is going to stop it. Why? Because, there are still very serious structural problems with our economy right now and they all seem to be pointing in the same direction and that direction is back down, and down hard. Currently, we have little or no jobs growth, we have rising mortgage credit defaults, there is the commercial property crisis still to be worked out, and with Greece and other European examples fresh in our minds, any further spending would pretty much guarantee a great big economic contraction. It’s one thing to engage in deficit spending when you are investing in things like infrastructure which appear as assets on the public balance sheet but another thing completely when we throw stupid money in the form of direct payments to individuals ….we absolutely have to stop spending money to fund any more direct payments to individuals …. you know, like extending unemployment benefits, welfare, things like that, because for all of the billions of dollars invested the public gets absolutely nothing back… Except the debt.

As most of you know, I was against the pork laden stimulus package from the start, even so, if we had to do it anyway then why couldn’t we have used it to create jobs and produce something with tangible values? People! We have just finished wasting several trillion dollars that we used to pay bonuses to bankers, wages to bureaucrats, and the mortgages and credit cards of irresponsible consumers. As we head into the next leg of this recession, the ECRI says that half of the long-term unemployed people still without work as the next free fall begins, will stay that way through the entire next leg, that means we need to get people back to work quickly so we don’t drag half of long-term unemployed America into the next downcycle because it is going to be a long one. Either way you look at it we are in for serious troubles AND we are still on the hook for all of the trillions Obama has spent and so far all we have gotten back is more government and bigger government which makes matters worse.

Why is a double-dip all but certain? Because there is absolutely nothing positive going on right now, and spending by consumers has no dynamic to sustain it. Think about it: Old people have lost their interest income, one out of four mortgages are upside down, credit card rates are skyhigh unless you are a super beacon, easy mortgage lending is gone for the foreseeable future, and all of the homeowners whose homes were lost to foreclosure will not be able to reenter the market any time soon. Lenders of all colors are stuck with trillions of dollars of worthless home equity loans which the government can’t fix if it wanted to. We’re not just in a recession, we’re in a negative economic mega cycle and with nothing to support the start of significant growth of any kind, the other foot is ready to fall. Thank goodness Obama managed to jam through those huge healthcare taxes (I mean reform) just in case small business owners are able to find a way to keep their doors open somehow. And to add to the drama, so far I haven’t heard anybody discussing the upcoming layoffs from the public sector, a reality check, which is just 30 days out when the states and counties and cities all start their next fiscal year on June 30th!
For those who still remember their calculus, I expect the yield curve to invert because the first derivatives have been in a free fall for all of 2010, this has created more than one inflection point as the second derivative takes us from concave up, to concave down. Conclusion: I would not be invested in equities in this market under any circumstances and I would have all of my own money in cash and cash equivalents and commondities like ….. Gold!!!

“Only Congress holds the purse strings and can vote “yes” or “no” on the money spent. If citizens are concerned about the money issues, they should write their congressmen”

Federal Reserve Board
Should Be Abolished

By John W. Wallace

In Article I, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution, the people of the United States granted Congress the power “to coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures.” The people never gave congress the constitutional power to delegate this money-creating and regulating responsibility to any private group. Yet this is exactly what the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 did. The bill was publicly promoted as a plan to reform the nation’s monetary system and stabilize the currency by taking control of it out of the hands of big bankers. In reality, of course, the Federal Reserve Act was written by the big bankers for the purpose of solidifying their control over our currency.

Many Americans today wrongfully believe that the Federal Reserve is somehow part of the federal government, possibly even the Treasury Department. Many do not know that the Federal Reserve is actually a cartel of private banks that was given the power to be the sole issuer of U.S. money, with full control over its quantity and thus its value. Since this group of private bankers (the Fed) provides credit to the U.S. government when we spend money we don’t have, the Fed also is able to profit handsomely from the ever-increasing national debt. Because the Fed makes more money when the country goes deeper into debt, there is no incentive for the Fed to support any reductions in federal deficit spending. The more credit we need, the more money this cartel of private banks will make.

The actions the Federal Reserve Board takes can drastically affect the economy simply by making decisions about the money supply and interest rates. The president, congress, big business, investors, home buyers and anyone else with an interest in our economy waits with baited breath every time the Federal Reserve Board meets. If these elite private bankers decide to raise interest rates, politicians and industries could fall, homes might not be purchased and jobs could be lost. If the Fed decides to lower the interest rates, politicians, industries, investors and consumers may prosper. There is too much power vested in a handful of people whose names would not be recognized by most Americans. Why do we allow such a small group of people on the Federal Reserve Board to wield so much power over our country’s economic well-being? As average Americans strive to earn a living, cope with rising costs of food, fuel and hopefully save or invest for the future, Congress and the Federal Reserve Board are working insidiously against them. On a daily basis, every dollar they have is being devalued.

Even though most Americans seem unaware of the current plight of the US dollar, especially in relation to the Euro, there is definitely a dollar crisis in the world economy because of the immense size of the international debt of America. America has now become the largest debtor in history, owing somewhere between $70 and $100 Trillion. The reckless deficit spending by our government, coupled with Federal Reserve Board currency devaluation, has become one of the greatest threats facing America today. Because Congress is routinely spending more than it can tax or borrow and the Fed is routinely printing “Fiat Money” (Dollars backed by nothing) out of thin air to make up the difference, this classic “one-two punch” threatens to further destroy the value of our dollars.

The actions of both major political parties would seem to indicate that they want the Fed to print more “Fiat Money” to support their extravagant and unchecked spending habits. Most politicians want the printing presses to run faster and faster, create more credit, issue rebate checks, etc., so that the economy will somehow be magically healed by this dangerous financial potion, or so they believe. The President and members of Congress may love a system that generates more and more money for their special interest projects and earmarks, but the rest of us have good reason to be concerned about our monetary system and the future value of our American dollars.

Issuing “Fiat Money” has allowed our government to live well beyond its means, but that practice cannot continue much longer as it is slowly destroying the value of our dollars. History shows us that when the destruction of monetary value becomes rampant, as the actions of our congress and the Fed would indicate, nearly everyone suffers and both the economic and political structure becomes unstable. The Federal Reserve System has been the tool used by the major bankers to allow them to gain control over the smaller regional and local banks. The Fed has also acted as the financing agency for Congress’ unprecedented deficit spending on an ever growing, more intrusive federal bureaucracy and the expansion of the welfare state. Some people believe that the private bankers in the Federal Reserve wield so much power that they can intentionally manipulate the economy in order to influence the results of our presidential elections.

Our government and the American people do not need the help of any private banking cartel to manage our monetary system. We need to repeal the Federal Reserve Act and return control of our currency to Congress where it belongs, as was the intent of our Founders. We also need to have a serious national discussion about how real currency reform can be achieved. As long as the private bankers that make up the Federal Reserve Board have control over our nation’s money, Congress’ control of the purse-strings will not have the benefits the country’s Founders intended.

I support legislation introduced by Congressman Ron Paul, of Texas, entitled “Federal Reserve Board Abolition Act (H.R. 2755) that will restore financial stability to America’s economy by abolishing the Federal Reserve Board. REF: H.R. 2755: Federal Reserve Board Abolition Act

Is there no one on the political left with the capacity to listen? Or to learn? Especially when what they might hear, or begin to understand about the Tea Party would run dramatically contra to their persistent incoherent maunderings, and mischaracterizations? After the vilification of Sarah Palin and President Bush, is there anyone in the U.S. who still doubts the veracity of conservative claims over the last 10 years, that when the modern day lefty feels threatened or challenged by anything or anyone, they always respond by immediately firing up the drum beat of their mind numbing name calling, and personal assaults on the character of those involved? The modis operendi of todays liberals reminded me of a quote I remembered from reading JFK’s inaugural speech (forgive the free license I took with some minor modifications) and NO! I am not going to quote any of the obvious parts that cast a hypocritical light on the unprincipled modern day liberals. Okay…Okay … but only a few. Here is the part of the speech I was thinking of, see if you can recognize it:

“Let every person, who doesn’t agree with our distorted view of the world know, that should they fall out of lock step with the approved left wing dogma, we shall make them pay any price, target them with any conceivable crackpot rumor or lie, cause them to bear the burden of being called “intolerant’ or “haters” or “stupid” or “dumb” with ceaseless repetition, and will force them to endure the full and mighty wrath of our partners in the ‘state owned media” who will use each and everyone of their respective bully pulpits to attack their character, hold them up to public ridicule, humiliation, and scorn, while actively and aggressively misrepresenting their cause, their message, their motives and their true objectives, so long as it has any chance at all of defeating their dangerous ideas and stopping or slowing down their need to impose their “extreme right wing religion fueled morals” and “Christian values” on the rest of us, in order to assure the survival and the success of our own “socialist, one world, open borders, welfare state, entitlement rich, government owned, single payer, progressive agenda” . This much we pledge—and more.” 4

And you thought I was going to commit left wing blasphemy and violate the separation of church and state by reminding you of other Kennedy quotes like these:

“…the belief that the rights of man come not from the generosity of the state, but from the hand of God”

“And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country”

“Let us go forth to lead the land we love, asking His blessing and His help, but knowing that here on earth God’s work must truly be our own”

Before anyone rushes to judgment against the “bowers, blamers, and shamers” we need to step back and recognize that we are all partly at fault for the mixed signals they have been given. It was only two short years ago that a vast majority…in fact a super majority of members of the democratic party were swept into power by a lot of our own votes right? Are they really to be faulted for allowing their own vanity and ego to see this as a referendum on the Republicans and not simply the response of a majority of American’s to the start of the Pelosi Reid recession, economic uncertainty, a vilified and unpopular President and even more unpopular wars? They cannot be faulted for being too busy celebrating and taking turns writing the obituary of conservatism. So married to their destructive government programs, fueled by their economy wrecking deficit spending and plans to nationalize as much of the economy as they could as fast as they could, they were blinded by their own tears of joy that a majority of American’s had finally stepped into the light, and been converted into true believers of the liberal theology. How could emotion driven politically correct zealots be expected to see the forest thru the trees? It is scary to observe, even now that the ether has worn off and enough time has passed to clear their heads that they still desperately cling to the false notion that the election of 2008 was more than the electorate trying to make a loud clear testimonial to their own frustrations and anger.

The American people’s realization of what it had done and not liking the perils and costs associated with being pushed to the left of Mao, starting trying to let their voices be heard… which spawned the advent of tea party movement. The response of the terminally predictable left was to immediately attempt to quash and discredit this movement through the use of their tried and true (and rarely effective) ad hominem attacks, name calling, and smug, outright lies. Just a few days ago Michael Lashoff wrote “the tea party movement claims to be something that it isn’t” “how could it be anti socialist when a majority of tea partiers say they favor keeping and intend to collect their Social Security …certainly a socialist program right?’ and how can they claim to be for lower taxes when currently only 50% of US citizens pay any federal income tax at all? Right? The tea partiers are just not out of the closet yet because they seem to be fine with a big nurturing government right?” He then quoted the uber reliable NY Times poll that identified the Tea Partiers as being all 45 yr. old rightwing Christian extremists and white racist males who hate all Muslims and whose brains are in the death grip of the likes of Hannity, Coulter, Beck and Limbaugh!” (And if they were able to shake off that brain washing they are probably big fans of Halliburton and no bid contracts too!) They are rabid uneducated “birthers” and “deniers” and not only do they hate all Muslims they are also all “homophobic” and “racists” who “hate all illegal Mexicans because of their brown skin and cars with flashy wheels and tires on them”

Nothing could be further from the truth and after almost 2 years to get it right, one has to assume they either can’t…won’t and never will! The left has spent the last two years rearranging the chairs on the titanic to make sure no one’s feelings would be hurt by their place in the line of people soon be going into the ocean. The left cannot allow themselves to believe, for even a second, there are still people walking among them who love this country, are proud of what it stands for, who believe in American exceptionalism, and who have the audacity to insist that the leaders of the country they love be required to keep her fiscal house in order. How is it possible for so many people to have come together…a majority of whom had never involved themselves in politics before, and be drawn together by the common beliefs of personal liberty and freedom…of a government that is small and does not intrude into the private lives of it’s citizens and doesn’t think a person or a country should spend 1/3 more money every year than they bring in. As Ronald Reagan once said “the problem is that our government has a spending problem”. Tea partiers believe it’s not the government’s job to set up a nanny state while promoting an open borders posture nor is it the governments job the regulate every single shred of our existence. It’s not so much about taxes right now …it’s more about the reckless spending and all-out power grabs by our government and their intrusion into areas of our lives it has no place being. It’s about being able to show enough respect for our own heritage as a nation of laws, that we are able to enforce those laws fairly upon anyone who breaks them without any misplaced feelings of remorse. And it’s the ability to take the side of that country and it’s laws against anyone and everyone who is not in this country illegally.

Jobs created in the public sector destroys jobs in the private sector. Governments don’t create real jobs in fact Government job creation is an oxymoron. Government salaries are payed for with taxes, borrowing or printing which puts a burden on taxpayers, employers, value of the dollar and the overall economy. Small business has created 90% of the private sector jobs over the past 15 years. Let the free market work. Government jobs put burdens on taxpayers and the economy and government spending reduces more jobs in the private sector than it can create in the government sector. Not to mention the growth in public sector jobs explains why the only area where we are seeing a growth in union membership is the government sector. Pulling down the most pay possible for the least amount of work necessary is a hallmark of the union worker … They do not produce wealth. They take wealth, just like entitlement programs. Slowing the growth in government spending would speed job growth. For small businesses, which are the source of most job creation in the U.S., the government’s increased and changing role in the economy is way more frightening than encouraging. Small business has no idea what health-care reform will mean for their cost structure or what whimsical tax policies the government might impose when it realizes those short-term deficits are running into long-term unfunded liabilities. The economy creates jobs when the private sector, especially small business, sees opportunity, not because government pours in hundreds of billions of borrowed dollars. To get the private-sector job generator cranking, we need to turn off the government threat machine.
No business owner is going to invest in expanding operations when threatened with higher taxes if they succeed. Uncertainty about expensive, burdensome regulation also casts a pall on business investment. Like cap and trade. Like the various environmental and labor regulations percolating through the bureaucracies. Like the preposterous tax on banks. Washington needs to take a bold fiscal approach which would require truly historic cuts in spending to make some room for marginal rate cuts that would make a real difference to growth. That’s not likely from this Congress or this president. But a practical Plan B is simply to do no more harm. At least then businesses could concentrate more on business and less on threats from Washington.

Kagan in Context: Shafting Progressive Values
by Norman Solomon

If President Obama has his way, Elena Kagan will replace John Paul Stevens — and the Supreme Court will move rightward. The nomination is very disturbing, especially because it’s part of a pattern.
The White House is in the grip of conventional centrist wisdom. Grim results stretch from Afghanistan to the Gulf of Mexico to communities across the USA.

“It turns out, by the way, that oil rigs today generally don’t cause spills,” President Obama said in support of offshore oil drilling, less than three weeks before the April 20 blowout in the Gulf. “They are technologically very advanced.”

On numerous policy fronts, such conformity to a centrist baseline has smothered hopes for moving this country in a progressive direction. Now, the president has taken a step that jeopardizes civil liberties and other basic constitutional principles.

“During the course of her Senate confirmation hearings as Solicitor General, Kagan explicitly endorsed the Bush administration’s bogus category of ‘enemy combatant,’ whose implementation has been a war crime in its own right,” University of Illinois law professor Francis Boyle noted last month. “Now, in her current job as U.S. Solicitor General, Kagan is quarterbacking the continuation of the Bush administration’s illegal and unconstitutional positions in U.S. federal court litigation around the country, including in the U.S. Supreme Court.”

Boyle added: “Kagan has said ‘I love the Federalist Society.’ This is a right-wing group; almost all of the Bush administration lawyers responsible for its war and torture memos are members of the Federalist Society.”

The departing Justice Stevens was a defender of civil liberties. Unless the Senate refuses to approve Kagan for the Supreme Court, the nation’s top court is very likely to become more hostile to civil liberties and less inclined to put limits on presidential power.

Here is yet another clear indication that progressives must mobilize to challenge the White House on matters of principle. Otherwise, history will judge us harshly — and it should.

For more than 15 months, evidence has mounted that President Obama routinely combines progressive rhetoric with contrary actions. As one bad decision after another has emanated from the Oval Office, some progressives have favored denial — even though, if the name “Bush” or “McCain” had been attached to the same presidential policies, the same progressives would have been screaming bloody murder.

But enabling bad policies, with silent acquiescence or anemic dissent, encourages more of them. At this point, progressive groups and individuals who pretend that Obama’s policies merely need a few tweaks, or just suffer from a few anomalous deficiencies, are whistling past a political graveyard.

At the same time, with less than six months to go before Election Day, there are very real prospects of a big Republican victory that could shift majority control of Congress. Progressives have a huge stake in averting a GOP takeover on Capitol Hill.

The corporate-military centrism of the Obama administration has demoralized and demobilized the Democratic Party’s largely progressive base — the same base that swept Nancy Pelosi into the House Speaker’s office and then Barack Obama into the White House. National polls now show Democrats to be much less enthusiastic about voting in November than their Republican counterparts.

The conventional political wisdom (about as accurate as the claim that “oil rigs today generally don’t cause spills”) is that when a Democratic president moves rightward, his party gains strength against Republicans. But Democrats reaped the whirlwind of that pseudo-logic in 1994 — after President Clinton shafted much of the Democratic base by pushing through the corporate NAFTA trade pact against the wishes of labor, environmental and human-rights constituencies. That’s how Newt Gingrich and other right-wing zealots got to run Congress starting in January 1995.

For progressives, giving the Obama administration one benefit of the doubt after another has not prevented matters from getting worse.

At the moment, U.S. troop levels are nearing 100,000 in Afghanistan.

Massive quantities of oil are belching into the Gulf of Mexico.

The White House has signaled de facto acceptance of a high unemployment rate for several more years, while offering weak GOP-lite countermeasures like tax breaks for businesses.

Nuclear power subsidies are getting powerful support from both ends of Pennsylvania Avenue, while meaningful action against global warming is nowhere in sight.

The Justice Department continues to backtrack on civil liberties.

And now, if the president’s nomination of Elena Kagan is successful, the result will move the Supreme Court to the right.

Progressives should fight the Kagan nomination.

From: Grand Rapids Conservative Examiner Robert Ditmar

I remembered reading this column by Robert Ditmar this evening shortly after my posting privileges were suspended by the very frightened and intolerant extreme left wing blog called “Blue Oregon” or as it is now called “Boo Hoo Oregon”. What was my crime? Pointing out the hypocrisy of the left and their own inability to see it or if they do see it, by their ability to rationalize everything they do in order to try to advance their tired and failed agenda. Here is the article draw your own parralels as I have certainly drawn mine.

On CBS’s The Early Show, an interview between Obama fan and morning anchor Harry Smith focused on the issue of how polarized the country has become as a result of Obama’s push for a government power-grab. Shortly after the interview was aired this morning, it was posted on their website under the title, Obama: Extreme Right-Wing Shows “Troublesome.” The title demonstrates the “obvious and objective” balance of the story by the CBS news division. [Sarcasm ON]

Reading through the article, the president seemed to be implying that it is “all sides” that are hurling “vitriol” to “demonize” the other side. This is a blatant attempt to fake a balance between the left and right, because Obama only cites Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh as the leading “agitators” who are creating an environment of “violence” toward the left. If it is a two-sided issue, the president strangely omitted any mention of the poisoned rhetoric from the left-wing “progressive” shows, such as Ed Schulz, or the vitriolic hate-filled rant against Scott Brown’s supporters as spewed by leftist Atlanta radio host Michael Malloy as he calls all of them “sons-of-bitches” right on the air.

In the Schultz-Hannity case, the reference is to a remark that Sean Hannity made during his book tour visit to the Ronald Reagan Library this past Monday. During the course of the conversation in front of a live audience while doing his show, Hannity made a tongue-in-cheek reference to the Tea Partiers and conservatives as a bunch of “Tim McVeigh wannabes.”

We all know that Tim McVeigh was behind the atrocity of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing that left 60 innocent people dead. Among the victims were several children who were in the building’s daycare center when the bomb exploded. We also know that Tim McVeigh was an extreme, far, far right-wing terrorist who thought that the U.S. government was not a legal entity and must be destroyed. In his own warped mind, McVeigh saw himself as a “soldier of freedom” when he committed this terrible crime. He was found guilty and later put to death for the murder of 60 innocents.

Hannity’s remark, taken out of context by the radical left in an attempt to portray the conservative pundit of “agreeing” with the mainstream media that he and his “followers” in the Tea Party look to Tim McVeigh as some sort of “inspiration” and “martyr” for their movement can appear as “truth” to the casual voter who really does not pay attention. And the liberals of the mainstream media are masters of these types of deceptions and slander against all those who disagree with them. But if you are a sensible, logical person who has been remotely near the planet over the past 12 months, you know that Hannity was making his remark in jest of how the liberal “progressives” in the media and the leftist blogosphere have been doing everything in their power to demonize the Tea Party movement as an extremist, terrorist, evil group of right-wing radicals hell-bent on the destruction of the Obama administration. Hannity was trying to laugh in the face of those who are attacking the millions of normal Americans who are incensed at the blatant, unconstitutional power grab by the left and are speaking out peacefully in protest, many for the first time in their lives.

During his show, Schultz attacked Hannity as a McVeigh-worshiping extremist by taking the full substance of the remark out of context for his leftist audience. He invited callers to feign outrage at Hannity as a promoter of the “right-wing racist violence” that the Tea Party is “advocating.” He also seemed to be inviting his audience; all three of them, to call into the RNC headquarters to demand that they get their “extremists” under control. Schultz even seemed to speculate that it seemed hard to believe that Fox News would allow Hannity to remain on the air after making such an “inciting” remark.

Let’s get this entire “right-wing extremist, racist, violent Tea Party-Republican-Conservative axis-of-evil” straightened out, right now.

Since Obama began to move radically to the far left last year, after lying to America by pretending to be a Clinton “centrist” during the presidential campaign, the bold-faced power grab and his real intentions of turning the country into a socialist Utopia became painfully apparent to untold millions of Americans. Many of those who felt like they had been cheated were life-long Democrats of the old-school, who found themselves in a state of disbelief as to where the modern, radical socialist-Democratic party is now attempting to take the country.

As 2009 wore on, the economy fell further into the abyss, billions of dollars were being liberally printed to “finance” the so-called “stimulus,” and the government had literally begun taking over huge sections of the former private sector, turning companies like General Motors into state-owned bureaucracies with nicknames like “Government Motors.” While all this chaos erupted, Obama, Pelosi and Reid decided that they would pursue socialized health care at all costs, endangering the nation’s future and prosperity.

During all of this, these millions of Americans watched their new president globetrot to nations all around the world, bowing to Muslim sheiks, cozying up to leftist Venezuelan and Iranian dictators, and apologizing to our enemies for the fact that America has been a “terrible abuser” of “undeserved power.” They watched Obama turn vitriolic on our own, historic democratic allies such as Britain, Israel and France in favor of totalitarian regimes.

In an almost spontaneous reaction to this power grab, these millions of concerned Americans gathered and began protesting against uncontrolled government spending, tripling the national debt, and trying to shove a huge, unwanted socialist entitlement program down our collective throats. As spring wore on into summer, when it became apparent that Obama and the radical Democrats were not listening to the concerns of the tax protesters (the unorganized Tea Party), millions of average Americans finally spoke up at congressional town hall meetings when their senator or representative were home to visit their districts. Almost every single statement made at these meetings, while heated, were thoughtful and well-structured arguments.

As the town halls went on, there were attempts by the mainstream Obama media to start labeling the Tea Party movement as an “extremist, racist” right-wing fringe. While there is a very large group of minorities who are members of the Tea Party movement, they were ignored while the MSM who focused instead on one or two extreme lunatics in the crowd, which they attempted to paint as being representative of the entire movement.

During the town halls, a black Tea Party member was beaten within inches of his life by Service Employee International Union (SEIU) members, sent as “hired thugs” to intimidate and threaten the normal Americans who were exercising their First Amendment rights to free speech. Of course, had it not been for the new media, conservative blogosphere, talk radio and Fox News, this story would never have seen the light of day, since the mainstream media ignored it.

Regardless of the civilized, peaceful protest of normal Americans and the Tea Party, who are the majority in this center-right country, the radical, socialist Democrats thumbed their noses to the American people instead. Despite the overwhelming two-thirds of Americans who did not want the socialized health care bill passed, the Democrats instead said “screw the American people” and ram-rodded the massive, unpopular bill into law using parliamentary tricks and gimmicks. The Democrats ignored their promises of transparency and they feigned “bipartisanship” while never allowing for opposition proposals to see the light of day.

Of course, this set off a massive outburst of anger by the American people. We have seen the Obama thugocracy trample the Constitution into the ground and make up the rules as they went along. We have seen this administration and the congressional Democrats act like imperial dictators, who no longer represent the people and expect the people to shut up and take it.

Because we have not collectively submitted to the Democratic “progressives” attempt at a leftist dictatorship under socialism, they have decided to resort to the time-honored “Progressive” modus-operandi of silencing the opposition. Using threats, tactics and labels to demonize anyone who opposes Obama and Obamacare as being an inciter of violence and racism, they hope to intimidate and silence the vast majority of Americans by making them fear becoming a target of these slanderous labels.

We have seen non-incidents made out to be huge violent aggressions by the “extremist Tea Party movement,” such as lying about a protester calling a black Congressman the “N-word.”

We have seen accusations by the leftist media against Sarah Palin for saying that we are not yet defeated, and we need to “regroup and reload” to win in November. Again, anyone with half a brain understand Palin was using analogy in her choice of words and not being literal in promoting violence. Yet the leftist media has tried to say that Palin is telling her “extremist followers” to get “their guns” to load and target “Democratic “progressives” to take over the government. They are even using the crosshair pinpoints of targeted congressional districts on her website that show which congressmen voted for Obamacare as being an incitement to violence and murder.

This is absurd! Palin’s “crosshairs” are showing those in Congress that voted over the wishes of the American majority and should be in a position to be legally voted out this coming November. She is showing where we need to run effective campaigns to ensure the socialist-Democrats are voted out of power this fall.

The leftist hypocrisy is so blatant, it is sickening. To accuse white-haired grandmothers, carrying homemade signs that say things like “Enough is Enough” and “Follow the Constitution,” then clean up the protest location before they go home to dinner and bed is ridiculous. It is made all the more absurd when you compare how the Tea Party protesters act compared to how violent the left protested against President Bush during his presidency!

Violence and intimidation are the tools of the “progressive” liberals and radicals of the left. They use these tools to shout-down and attempt to silence a vast majority of Americans who are law-abiding, work and do not want to see America go down the wrong path.

In the past, when there were only three liberal networks and liberal newspapers, spouting the glories of liberalism and liberal presidents, all in a one-way direction, they were able to succeed in their totalitarian controls of dissent.

With the advent of the Internet and alternative new media that allow for a true balanced view of the issues, conservatives have been able to expose the “progressives” for the true, totalitarian socialistic dictators that they are. Two-way communications and social networks have made possible for conservatives and independents to discover that they are not the minority, but in fact, are in the overwhelming MAJORITY when it comes to their politics. Using these tools, they have found a way to organize their opposition against the once-dominant liberal ideologies of the “progressives.”

“Progressives” do not like any opposition and will not tolerate dissent. They are angry that we now have the means to debate on merit and facts. They resent that the majority of us have figured this out. So they resort to their old, thuggish tactics to avoid debate based on facts and empirical data.

This time, the left as gone too far, and if they believe they can just kick us in the collective mouth and order us to “shut-up and take it” like they did in the past, they are seriously mistaken. Americans will not be intimidated by their slanderous labels and threats. They will continue to stand bravely against these Marxist thugs.

The days of “progressive” control of all media, and their attempt to use the law against law-abiding citizens, while they run roughshod over the Constitution, are long over.

The sooner they figure that out, the quicker we can return to civilized debate and get back to being the America of our founders.
