Read the viewpoint and comments of the “Gay Patriot” himself.
If the true goal of feminism were securing the success of women in all sectors of our society, feminist leaders would be regularly singing the praises of the immediate past Governor of the Last Frontier. I mean, conservatives, particularly social conservatives, supposedly the political group least open to the advancement of women, have been the most ready to embrace Mrs. Palin.
They line up to buy her books, travel from all corners of the country to hear her speak at the Lincoln Memorial, find inspiration in her Facebook posts, look up to her as a role model and hero. In short, this woman has become an inspiration to and potential leader for, hundreds of thousands, if not millions of Americans. Doesn’t their acclaim for this accomplished woman in itself validate the notion that women can inspire and lead? (cont’d here)
The Good ..the bad and the ugly were certainly all on display as I spent several hours reading some of the bazillion pages of comments written about this historic event. Some of them stood out for their breathtaking stupidity others for their ability to capture and frame this event into it’s proper historical context. This was the anniversary of MLK’s famous event where he eloquently and forcefully asked Americans to judge one another “not by the color of their skin but by the content of their character”. Here are a couple of the comments I found value in:
Rachel and Ray Thompson, both 29, drove with their four kids from Indiana. Both are fans of Glenn Beck and criticized President Obama for fanning the divisions in this nation.
“There are a lot of divisive issues in this country that need to be addressed in the way Dr. King addressed them and [Obama] has failed to do that,” Ray Thompson, an electrician, said. “From a multi-racial family, I say shame on him.” (Ray is white; Rachel is African American.)
“He does have an awesome power to do something about it, but he is not. He is just sitting back,” said Rachel, a massage therapist. Neither was troubled by the timing of the rally — on the anniversary of King’s “I Have a Dream” speech. They said the speech King’s niece Alveda King gave was the most uplifting of the day.

Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin are kicking Al Sharpton’s backside every which way but loose.
This Beck-Palin rally is attended by hundreds of thousands. Al Sharpton’s rally is attended by thousands.
Beck and Palin are honoring all Americans, honoring our military girls and boys and honoring our nation as a whole. Beck and Palin are carefully avoiding politics and racial issues.
Al Sharpton is honoring only Black America. His rally is littered with political commentary, racially tinged commentary and hateful commentary.
At the Al Sharpton rally, Robert Franklin, president of Morehouse College, uttered a repugnant racial slur,
“I am delighted to know that Mr. Glenn Beck and his colleagues discovered the ‘I Have a Dream’ speech….”
Quite the stark contrast there.

“Glen Beck and other conservative people are not racist and do not have a history of being racist. This goes for the republican party as well. That is just crazy. Sure you can find people from any group that are racist. And if you want to look back 150 years you can find a huge amount.
If you are still pay attention to race in 2010 you are an idiot. People are people–it is what you do that makes you. People (Al Sharpton and company) have made it their job, literally, to remind people every day there are differences in all races. He breads racism. This is obvious! He never points out that the differences are superficial and cultural difference. Those differences are normal and not hateful. Country music is not racist because the majority of people listening and singing it are White.
Here is some history for you:
Voting-Civil Rights act of 1964
Democrats against: 37%
Republicans against: 19%
Democrats for: 63%
Republicans for: 81%
*House of Representatives:
Democrats for: 152
Democrats against: 96
Republicans for: 138
Republicans against: 34
Democrats for: 46
Democrats against: 21
Republicans for: 27
Republicans against: 6
That is just one of many examples. The late Senator Byrd is another. I don’t think you could find anyone more raciest than him, he was a leader of the KKK and until he died this year a member of the US Senate. If you want to compare who is racist the democrats will win the award of racism. That goes back to the true leaders of civil rights, Abraham Lincoln (republican). Why do you think these events, including the famous “I have a Dream” speech are at the Lincoln Memorial.
This event is all about freedom. People want to do what is right. Stop lying, stop saying hurtful things, and stop your selfish ignorance. No one in their right mind believes these events are super secret KKK meetings. Or the republican party as a whole are racist. Most of you are writing comments about people you have never took the time to listen to. You have never examined the thoughts and actions of who you support or dislike. ..”

MLKJ said in his speech, “content of character, not the color of skin.” Never did I believe I would see a worse President than Jimmy Carter, who was a Born Again Christian, Navy Commander, who could not make a decision and could not lead and I voted for him! Now we have Obama, who came from a completely different background, but could be a clone of Carter. Obama has no content of character, cannot lead and acts like a Hollywood star, rather than a leader! I am an independent voter who believes almost anyone could do a better job than Obama. He has been president for almost two years, with a demo congress and is failing at every turn! I believe in Honor, Integrity and judging people by the content of character, not the color of their skin! Obama has failed and is failing, and I would say that regardless of the color of his skin! We need a president who is more interested in leading the country in the right direction, rather than a president who is more interested in his own self aggrandizement! I for one would vote for a Palin-Beck ticked, especially if they were independents!
The Socialist Party of America announced in their October 2009 newsletter that 70 Congressional democrats currently belong to their caucus.

“The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president.
“The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince.
“The republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.”
— Author Unknown
“It is a mistake for Americans to think Obama represents the United States. Obama’s allegiance is driven by a leftist ideology that takes precedence over America. It can be argued whether having Obama in the White House poses a threat to National Security. Obama took an oath as President to uphold the Constitution but did Obama lie, commit fraud to move into the White House?” Ross Wolf (scroll to the first comment to see the entire quote …well worth the trip!)
The Obama presidency increasingly resembles a modern-day Ancien Régime: extravagant and out of touch with the American people
By Nile Gardiner
Nile Gardiner is a Washington-based foreign affairs analyst and political commentator. He appears frequently on American and British television and radio, including Fox News Channel, CNN, BBC, Sky News, and NPR.
What the great French historian Alexis de Tocqueville would make of today’s Obama administration were he alive today is anyone’s guess. But I would wager that the author of L’Ancien Régime and Democracy in America would be less than impressed with the extravagance and arrogance on display among the White House elites that rule America as though they had been handed some divine right to govern with impunity.
It is the kind of impunity that has been highlighted on the world stage this week by Michelle Obama’s hugely costly trip to Spain, which has prompted a New York Post columnist Andrea Tantaros to dub the First Lady a contemporary Marie Antoinette. As The Telegraph reports, while the Obamas are covering their own vacation expenses such as accommodation, the trip may cost US taxpayers as much as $375,000 in terms of secret service security and flight costs on Air Force Two.
The timing of this lavish European vacation could not have come at a worse moment, when unemployment in America stands at 10 percent, and large numbers of Americans are fighting to survive financially in the wake of the global economic downturn. It sends a message of indifference, even contempt, for the millions of Americans who are struggling just to feed their families on a daily basis and pay the mortgage, while the size of the national debt balloons to Greek-style proportions.

The End Of The Rule Of Law
August 2, 2010 by Bob Livingston
Some call the Barack Obama administration progressive. Some call it socialist. Other terms used are Marxist and communist.
I have called it fascist and corporatist in the past. Now I’ll just call it Evil.
That’s because the rule of law is dead in America. Now we have the rule of man—or government agency. The rule of man—or government agency—is a rule of Evil because it knows only the moral bounds of those making the rules. And it’s evident this administration, its appointments and its goals are amoral, if not immoral. READ THE REST OF THIS INCITEFUL OPINION HERE
